Well, kids, we are back from a busy week of work-tripping from Boston to Old Lyme, Connecticut, and will be presenting two weeks of meal plans for you here to compensate for our loss of posting time. In fact, shifts are coming with the season, and reformatting this blog and how we use it will change with it. So, as Charlie continues her journey and we get pulled in our various directions of workloads, we will continue to bring meal plans by the week at the least, and Jamie will continue to upload recipes on our page for all your future needs!

Meal Plan – Week #30 (Written by Jamie)

Cost: $55.02 week for 3 people // $1.33 /serving* (*NOTE: These numbers are calculated off what we actually spend each week, which may include occasional supplements of grain, starch, or beef for Drew and Jamie which Charlie cannot have. Week-to-week fluctuations in cost are more reflective of the times we need to pick up staples like olive oil and vinegar or weeks where Jamie is prepping three weeks’ worth of cauliflower rice rather than one week’s meal plan costing extra. Overall, we believe this offers a more accurate reflection of what this diet might look like financially for others.)

Meal Plan Diet Categories: (Gluten-Free, Lactose/Dairy Free, Diabetes Diet, Low Fat/Low Cholesterol, Cardiac Diet, Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian)

Meals: (Click on the names to go to the recipe) (1) Sweet Potato Steaks / (2) Herbs de Provence Chicken / (3) Chicken and Green Bean Stirfry / (4) Ground Pork and Super Greens / (5) Seared Chickpeas (variation 4) /(6) Garden Salads / (7) Quinoa

We’ve enjoyed sharing Charlie’s story with you and bringing you these weekly updates, as well as some of the challenges we’ve faced on the way, hoping it might help others who find themselves in similar circumstances. We gave the blog as big a boost as we had time and resources to — writing and formatting, doing guest articles, and uploading recipes take more time than one might think. But as schedules change and workloads progress elsewhere, we need to pull back and put all of our focus on keeping Charlie’s meal plans running on some crazy schedules, so that means we will fall back from our more narrative work.

Tune in weekly for new genius recipes as Jamie continues to reimagine favorite dishes we all enjoy for those with food sensitivities and specific dietary needs. And we will update with more Charlie news upon occasion as we cook and meal-plan on!
